The King of Clubs, 893 Leong Blvd, Mountain View.
I've been doing karaoke at the King of Clubs since March of 2003, making it the longest running karaoke show in the South Bay. The King of Clubs regularly makes the Metro's Best of Silicon Valley for karaoke, and has twice made the Mercury News Best in Silicon Valley for karaoke.
This is a very relaxed club, with a very diverse and welcoming clientele. A very simplified description would be roughly equal parts gay bar, nerd bar, and Cheers.

Tuesday 9:00pm - 2:00am

The Cat Club, 1190 Folsom St, San Francisco.
The Cat Club is a San Francisco dance club fixture, and has the awards to prove it. I've been doing karaoke there since 2009, and we now have a mention in Zagat, as well as a couple of years of Best Karaoke Club from the SF Weekly.
The Cat Club has a mostly younger crowd, with a fair number of young professionals, but it's also a place the local club workers like to frequent.

Wednesday 8:30pm - 1:00am

Bobby D's Cocktail Lounge, 700 Winslow St, Redwood City.
This bar has an actual stage off of the main bar. I've only been doing karaoke at Bobby D's since 2014, so no awards yet.
This is a much more blue-collar bar than my other venues.

Every 3rd Friday 9:30pm - 1:30am

LV's Bar at Mariners Point Golf Center, 2401 East 3rd Ave, Foster City.
This is a fun little place that's been doing karaoke for some years. Always a good time, and only available to the initiated: One has to know to drive in the exit gate of the closed golf course and through the unlit parking lot to the bar. I've said too much...
